Embodied counselling is
Counselling where the body leads.

Psychology focusing on the integration of body and mind. Using the tools of breath, sound, touch and movement we become more embodied which allows us to be more present, aware of our surroundings and connect differently with people.  

It supports:

  • Releasing strong emotion and trauma

  • Increased body awareness

  • Sleeping and relaxing

  • Learning new information and changing behaviour

  • Cultivating a sense of confidence and personal agency

  • Dissociative tendencies 

  • Focus and memory

  • Filtering what matters from what doesn’t
